Financial Reporting

We provide expertise in the preparation of financial statements for mainstream and specialized investment funds. Our practice compiles financial reports in accordance with the standards and practices applicable to each fund’s local jurisdiction and we also produce statements according to international standards.

Established in 2001 and an independent company since 2007, Alter Domus Financial Reporting Services (“ADFRS”) provides industry-leading financial reporting services to the global financial services marketplace. ADFRS enables investment funds to centralize annual and semi-annual fund reporting from both a technical and business perspective and to address major regulatory and compliance requirements globally.

ADFRS’ core services consist of managing the compilation of investment funds’ financial reporting. We do this by coordinating the input of various stakeholders, including managers, administrators, auditors, lawyers, translators, typesetters and printers. We offer our reporting services through a dedicated software framework of data models and reporting applications, together with rich automated content that covers the entire value chain. This involves migration or initial set-up of the fund reporting, typesetting that corresponds to the fund’s requirements, translation into multiple languages, proof reading, publication, printing and distribution, all with full control and validation integrated into the process. Further to the ongoing implementation of UCITS IV, ADFRS has developed in depth knowledge on the Key Investor Information Document and is able to offer implementation related services.

At ADFRS we ensure compliance with standards and practices applicable to the fund’s local jurisdiction. Whether a fund is domiciled in Luxembourg, Switzerland, Guernsey, Ireland, Liechtenstein, Hong Kong, Singapore, or the Cayman Islands, we offer our services to regulated and unregulated funds, with multiple compartments and share classes. Our services are available for mainstream and specialized investment funds; including real estate funds, Luxembourg SIFs and SICARs. Our teams include experts in Luxembourg GAAP, IFRS, UK GAAP and US GAAP who closely monitor changes in the regulatory environment. ADFRS is a member of the Association of Chartered Accountants in Luxembourg (OEC) and the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI).

Our Value Proposition

ADFRS has established protocols to ensure that our clients receive the lowest cost, highest quality, and best delivery performance in the preparation of their investment fund reports. Specifically, we have launched a Lean 6 Sigma continuous improvement initiative focusing on investment fund reporting.

Employees involved in this process are engaged in Kaizen Workshops in which all steps in the process of preparing investment fund reports are identified and analyzed.

The Kaizen Workshop goal is to develop a comprehensive and detailed action plan to improve cross-functional process performance and therefore improve the overall value chain. When commencing new engagements we invite our clients to participate in Kaizen workshops involving Lean 6 Sigma methodology and tools.
