Déborah de Gobert

Déborah de Gobert is Group Head of Legal.

Déborah joined Alter Domus in 2013. She has an extensive understanding of Luxembourg’s legal, regulatory and commercial practices and has significant experience in corporate and M&A law, with a particular focus on international group structuring and private equity transactions. She has also developed and acquired substantial practical experience in international finance transactions, banking and regulatory law and commercial and real estate law.

Prior to joining Alter Domus, Déborah was an Executive Director at Ernst & Young Luxembourg, responsible for the corporate & finance department. Previously she worked for more than 15 years as a qualified lawyer for magic circle’s law firms in Luxembourg, France and Belgium where she assisted domestic and international clients with local and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and group reorganisations.

Déborah has an L.L.M. (D.E.A.) in Private International Law and International Commercial Law from the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas and a J.D. from the Catholic University of Louvain (UCL). She was a member of the Brussels Bar for more than 15 years and of the Luxembourg Bar for 5 years.

She is the author of several publications on International guarantees in share purchase agreements, Legal and tax implications of cross-border mergers and acquisitions, The Right of Establishment in Luxembourg and Minority shareholders in Luxembourg.
