Sean Reilly is Director at Alter Domus USA

Immediately prior to joining Alter Domus, Sean was a Managing Director at CARTA “CARTA” Fund Services based in Connecticut, USA. CARTA was acquired by Alter Domus in 2017.

Sean joined CARTA after successfully serving as Chief Financial Officer at Hudson Clean Energy Partners, L.P. (Hudson) for over 5 years. His career started as a hedge fund auditor with public accounting firm Rothstein Kass (RK) and after this brief experience, Sean began a career exclusively dedicated to the Private Equity industry. Sean’s private equity career commenced in 1999 when he transitioned into a role with RK as a member of a private equity fund administration team established to provide accounting and administration services to employee-plan products for large financial institutions. After building a strong knowledge foundation with RK, he spent over 7 years accumulating a wealth of private equity experience with three well-known and very successful private equity organizations. The first of these successful organizations was The Blackstone Group (BX), where Sean held various managerial roles for BX's early vintage private equity funds and ultimately a controllership position responsible for all aspects of fund accounting, reporting and financial administration for TBG's fourth private equity fund ($6.5B, which was the world's largest private equity fund at that time). Additionally, Sean also served in a supervisory role in Credit Suisse's private equity group (CS) where he was responsible for managing the outsourced fund accounting and administration functions for CS' private equity Fund-of-Fund and Secondary Market Fund products. And lastly, immediately prior to joining Hudson as Chief Financial Officer, Sean briefly served in a senior controllership role with TowerBrook where he was responsible for all start-up accounting, operational, and financial administration matters with respect to TowerBrook's third successful private equity fund.

Sean earned his Bachelor’s degree from the Pennsylvania State University.
