Doug Hart is Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Doug has been Chief Executive Officer of the Alter Domus Group since December 2019. He is based in the United States.
He was previously the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Cortland Capital Markets LLC (“Cortland”), headquartered in Chicago and with offices in New York, London, Los Angeles, Austin, Indianapolis, and China. Cortland was merged with Alter Domus in March 2018. Following the merger, Doug was named Regional Executive for North America within Alter Domus.
Doug has brought innovative and trusted solutions to investment managers and commercial lenders for over 25 years. Prior to forming Cortland, Doug was one of the principal architects of Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s (ABN-AMRO/LaSalle Bank) successful Global Securities Services (GSS) business unit.
During his time at GSS, Doug was responsible for building and managing LaSalle (BAML) Global Fund Services, and the bank’s market leading securitization services and custody business for structured products. Before joining LaSalle in 1995, Doug was an officer at Bankers Trust Company where he was responsible for building the bank’s commercial real estate servicing business for CMBS.
Doug graduated from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics.
