Gus Harris is Head of AD Data & Analytics.

Gus joined Alter Domus in September 2021 and is based in New York. He is a seasoned C-level executive within the financial services industry. He built many businesses across a range of fintech and financial information services markets to eventually lead a global team of over 1,000 professionals with almost $1bn annual sales, consistent double-digit growth, and 5,000+ customers.

A founding Executive of Moody’s Analytics since 2008, Gus was responsible for many businesses with full P&L and strategy responsibility – from start-ups to emerging businesses to the most established high-profile flagship products. Gus built several innovative new products and services, including Moody’s market-leading Structure Finance products, ESG data and research services, Moody’s DataHub (DaaS) as well as many research, data, and analytic tools. During his tenure, Gus completed and integrated over a half dozen strategic acquisitions.

Passionate about D&I, Gus is a Board Member for the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship and a Member of the Executive Committee, Audit Committee, Finance Committee (Chair), and chaired the CEO Search Committee. Gus was the Executive Sponsor of Moody’s NYC LGBTA ERG for over three years.​​​​​​​

Prior to Moody’s Analytics, Gus spent over 10 years at Moody’s Investors Service, a premier credit rating agency. As Managing Director of the CLO team, he led efforts to build and solidify Moody’s position as the leading CLO rating agency. Prior to Moody’s, Gus started his career at Price Waterhouse (PwC) specializing in audits and accounting of mutual funds (on-shore and offshore), private equity funds, venture capital funds, and pension funds.

Gus is a CPA and CFA charter holder. His undergraduate studies were in Accounting and Economics (NYU Stern), and he has completed advanced degrees in Finance (MBA, Columbia Business School), Risk/Statistics (MS, NYU Stern), and Technology (MS, Pace University).
