James Yates

James joined Alter Domus in 2015 and is Global Product Lead, Company Secretarial Services. In his role, James works in close collaboration with business units to deliver integrated CoSec services to clients. James is focused on strengthening Alter Domus’ CoSec services and expanding them geographically.

Prior to this role, James was Director of the Fund Administration Services team in the Jersey office. He was responsible for the delivery of administration services for a range of private equity, debt and infrastructure funds for institutional clients. He is approved to act as a director in Jersey by the Jersey Financial Services Commission and sits on the board of a number of fund structures.

Before joining Alter Domus, James was an associate director with Sanne Group Plc for 9 years where he was responsible for the relationship management and service delivery to a diverse range of institutional private equity and real estate fund managers and the provision of administrative services for highly regulated fund structures.

James has over 20 years’ experience within the fund administration environment and is a chartered company secretary and governance professional.
