Tim Houghton
Tim Houghton is Chief Operating Officer (COO) and member of the Group Executive Board (GEB).
In his role, Tim oversees Alter Domus’ operations across all products and services. Previously, he was Alter Domus’ Head of Core Products and Group Operations.
Prior to joining Alter Domus in Luxembourg, Tim was a Managing Director and Principal of Cortland Capital Market Services LLC (“Cortland”) based in Chicago, USA. Cortland became part of the Alter Domus Group in March 2018.
Tim has over 25 years’ experience in structured finance and securitization. Before Cortland, Tim was a Senior Vice President at LaSalle Global Securities and Trust Services with responsibility for the group’s European CLO Services office from 2005 to 2008. Prior to that, Tim served as global co-head of business development and led product development efforts for CLOs, TRS, and other loan products.
Tim’s prior experience includes roles at Nomura Securities International and Bankers Trust Company.
Tim is a CFA charter holder and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley.
