Funds Europe: Irish Funds Industry Roundtable 2021

In Funds Europe’s Irish Funds Industry Roundtable, James McEvoy, Country Executive Ireland, discussed how Ireland is bolstering its fund industry and the challenges that await it in the future.  

The new ILP, AML regulations, Brexit, and CP86 all play significant roles in shaping the future of the Irish funds industry. The roundtable explores the advantages and challenges associated with these factors while pointing out the areas of development Ireland needs to consider to further strengthen its funds servicing industry.

“The original ILP which was brought about in the 90’s had some limitations that have been apparent through limited take-up over the years, so these enhancements now give us a fit-for-purpose partnership regime,” explains James.
